Setting up your draw couldn’t be easier. Once you set up an account. Login here (https://draw.independentdraws.com.au/login).
CREATE A NEW DRAW
In the sub-menu find ‘ADD DRAW‘

As you have already set up an account you don’t need to add your organisation details, these are automatically added/attached to the draw from your account details.
Enter in all relevant details for your draw. Please note the ‘STATUS‘, will update automatically at each stage.
- The background of your draw and prize page can have an image or video background. We recommend an image to have a static page – as a video can be distracting for the draws which is already a dynamic page with movement.
THIS CAN NOT BE CHANGE LATER
- The Draw SUFFIX – is the unique URL you can use to display your draw and prize page (https://draw.independentdraws.com.au/<organisation>/<your unique suffix for draw>).
PRIZES
Each draw can support a maximum of 1000 prizes. To add additional prizes, click ‘Add New Prize‘.
- NAME – A reference name for you to identify the prize: i.e. 3rd Prize, 2nd Prize or 1st Prize.
- VALUE – Total value of the prize please remember to add in the ‘$‘
- CALL OUT TEXT – This is what is displayed on the prize page, and should reflect the prize: i.e. Cash Prize, Coffee Maker, Detailing, etc.
- SPIN TIME – How long you want the virtual spin
- ‘MARK AS MAJOR PRIZE’ – This is used to denote the 1st Prize or Major Prize
We recommend setting up your prizes from last prize to first as they will be draw in this order. i.e. 3rd, 2nd, then 1st
Draw and prize page styling
The DRAW and Prize pages each have a call to action at the bottom of their respective pages.
The URL must have the https://
For both the DRAW and PRIZE page have some general page styling that can be set using the COLOURS section.

PLEASE NOTE YOU CAN SET UP THE DRAW WITHOUT THE DATABASE – THIS CAN BE UPLOADED LATER BUT MUST BE UPLOADED TO DRAW THE ASSOCIATED PRIZES
You can upload two types of CSVs to draw you prizes from: SINGLE ENTRY and MULTIPLE ENTRY.
In Single Entry Type, we will can multiple rows per entrant and each row will contain a unique Ticket Number, where required columns will be Username, First Name, Last Name, User Email ID, Phone Number, Product Name, Ticket Number, Billing State.

In Multiple Entry Type the data has one entrant per row, and a column in the file contains the number of entries that entrant has in the draw, where required columns will be First name, Address, Entry count, Username, User Email ID, Phone Number, Product Name

UPLOADED CSV FILES CAN HAVE A MAXIMUM OF 1,048,576 ROWS. IF YOU HAVE MORE GREATER THAN THIS, PLEASE USE MULTIPLE CSV FILES IN THE SAME FORMAT AND SELECT THEM ALL AT ONCE TO UPLOAD.
INDEPENDENT DRAWS CAN HANDLE A TOTAL OF 20 MILLION ENTRY ROWS.
UPLOADING THE DATABASE
Once you’ve selected your CSV file and uploaded the database, you will need to wait. Uploading the database can take time depending on the size and data being uploaded.
You can navigate back to your dashboard to see its progress. In the database column it will begin as ‘Pending’, when completed it will change to ‘Done’.
You will, receive an email when the database uploading process is complete, alternatively if you refresh the page in the database column will show a percentage of how far the processing is. If you have uploaded multiple database files it will be by denoted as ‘# of # and then the percentage’.
When the database column displays, ‘Done’, the draw is ready to be drawn.
SAVING THE DRAW
To save the draw, click ‘ADD‘.
If you don’t do this the draw information you have just added won’t save and the draw won’t be available for later use.
